Guild Titles and Medals

Knightly Members can now gain titles and medals in recognition of their dedicated service to the guild. The titles and medals can be displayed in their signature for any TOS related forums.
The description of the guild title and medalling system is explained below.

There are 3 category of titles and 1 medal category. The titles/medals categories are all mutually exclusive of each other. A knight can have a title in all three categories, or just one title. A knight will always have a minimum of one title and that is the “Knight of the Realm”. Medals are cumulative and may be displayed accordingly.


The Knightly Title
The Knightly title is opened to any member of the Knights of Avalon. The default title is “Knight of the Realm”

Grand Knightly Champion – The Knight who has come first the most times at guild tournaments. There can be only one knight that holds this title and its currently: Maounin. The only other knight that has come first in events is LJ, but Maounin has come first twice so he is the Grand Knightly Champion. The Grand Champion title can of course change hands in the future.

Knightly Champion – Any knight who has ever come top 5 in any guild events will fall into this category. (This title recognises the service of the individual knight to the order)
A knight who has achieved top 5 twice would be Knightly Champion x II, thrice would be Knightly Champion x III etc . The suffix in roman numerals. Once a champion, always a champion in perpetuity.

Knight of the Realm – A knight who has yet to make top 5 in any guild event. Majority of the knights will fall under this category.

Knight Errant – A knight who has never made top 5 in any guild event and below lvl 100 (or a  knight who still has a lot to learn about the game). This rank is included for purpose of completeness and perspective only. We currently don’t have any of these and its doubtful if we will have any Knight Errants in the future.


The Consular Titles
These titles are appointed titles and denote that the knight has an actual office of responsibility.
The title is removed once the knight chooses to relinquish his/her position for whatever reason.
All consular titles are by appointment only.

The current roster for the appointed positions are:

High King of Avalon – Eardrum73 (Guild organisation, structure and purpose)
High Castellan – Kenna Kat (Forum maintenance and other guild duties)
Grand Inquisitor - Brokenshirt (HR tracking and other guild duties)
Chief Librarian - Fattony888 (Record keeping, publications and other guild duties)

A subset of this is:
Knight Consular – Denotes any knight who has contributed greatly to the guild in a non-specified role.
To earn this title the knight must not only contribute but he has to be consistent in their contribution (whatever form it takes).

Other possible office of responsibility for the future: Treasurer, Seneschal, Standard Bearer, Knight Banneret…. (no real need for these positions yet)


Miscellaneous Titles
These titles can take many forms, they are descriptive titles, something that denotes their personality or their antics in the guild. These titles can be chosen invidually by the member themselves. You can of course choose not to have a title. This title is open to all members of Knights of Avalon.

Examples of these would be:
KK – Samurai Knight,
Kalvis – Court Jester,
Crazy Achemed –Saracen Knight
Blindee –The Vanguard Knight
Rock – The People’s Champion
Pink Dremery – Harlequin Knight? Are you sure you wants this? lol


Medals
Medals are available for all members as long as they meed the requirements below.
A medal is given out in recognition of a member's contribution to post guides in KOA forums for the benefit of other guild members.
To be awarded a medal, a Knight is require to post quality guides in the KoA forum (Must be quality guides -could be battle strategies, levelling guides, cd lowering guides etc)
You can’t write a paragraph and claim it as a guide for example.

3 or more guides – Medal of Skill
6  or more guides – Medal of Strategy
10 or more guides – Medal of Excellence
15 or more guides – Medal of Unity
20 or more guides – Medal of Glory
30 or more guides – The slayers Medal!  

Once awarded a medal you can display the particular medal  in your signature.

Example of a knight has not come top 5 in a guild event yet, does not hold an appointed office, has a descriptive title and wrote 7 quality guides in KoA forums.

Lancelot  (player’s name) of the Lake (Misc. Title)
Knight of the Realm (Knightly Title)
Medals: Medal of Skill, Medal of Strategy

Example of a knight who has come top 5 in a guild event once, has an appointed role, has a descriptive title.

Kenna Kat (player’s name) the Samurai Knight (Misc. Title)
Knightly Champion x I (Knightly Title)
High Castellan (Consular Title)

Haha yes sure why not? I almost went for the Fool, or the Chatterbox. Now those would have been terrible!   

Please nite that Kenna Kat has created some icons to represent the medals. You can use these icons or type them in yourself.

Do the guild leaders get to see stats on individual member gold contributions? If so, some titles around "selfless dedication" could be fun.

Unfortunately, (or fortunately depending on your point of view) gold donations can only be viewed by what is donated yesterday.
But I think our guild is fairly good, its based on honesty and trust so members donate willingly on their own

Damn. This guild is growing so fast titles are extraordinary.

Remember that you can choose your own misc.titles. Or if you dont like one you dont need to have one.
