[Deck Building + Strategy] Way to Faith
Hi All,
This is my very first post in the Knights of Avalon forum and, as a new member, I’d like to take this opportunity to say hi to everyone. I like the neatness of the forum and will try to contribute whenever I can in the future.
I am a semi-serious, but very active TOS player. As of yesterday (06 Apr 2014), my login days is 300. OK , enough of myself. =)
Today, I want to share my team that cleared the new transmigration ‘Way to Faith’. Strategy-wise, there really isn’t much. You’ll see why later.
Details of my team setup
Leader: Leo Lvl Max CD 17
Members: Gemini Lvl Max CD 5
Scorpio Lvl Max CD 7
PR Verdandi Lvl Max CD 7
PKoD Lvl 89 CD 20
Helper: PR Idun Lvl Max CD 14
This is a defensive setup. With Version 5.0, Leo’s Leader skill has been upgraded. His new leader skill is: The Rigid Armor: Light & Water. Not only does he get to keep the x 150% team attack, his armor is also upgraded to have 50% defence against Light and Water attacks. Basically, in this team setup, he serves as a beefed up Light DD. His active skill can also help defeat some of the enemies much more quickly.
PR Idun + PR Verdandi is a deadly combination in a defensive team. They together can recover at least 5725 points of health without even dissolving heart runes. This combination makes none of the enemies in Way to Faith remotely dangerous.
Gemini, Scorpio and PKoD are there to make the grinding process faster. You can replace Scorpio with Baphomet. I chose Scorpio just to be extra safe, but turned out it was unnecessary.
Strategy: There really isn’t much as you are in no danger of dying. However do note the following:
1 Always have PR Verdandi’s skill ready at the beginning of each stage after stage 10
2 Once PR Verdandi’s skill is activated 3 time, you can boost your attacks in the next 8 rounds by activating Gemini – Scorpio – Leo. Very useful in the last few stages.
3 Don’t fall asleep
FAQ:
How long did it take for you to clear Way to Faith with this team?
Not sure. Didn’t really pay attention as I was doing other stuff as well. I’d say roughly 60-90 minutes.
Can I use Light Defence Dragon as a Leader?
Yes, but its active skill is quite useless in late stages.
What about a tumbler team? Can I change Leo to PQoW or Odin?
Not sure, but I think a tumbler team may have trouble with Stage 18.
Can I borrow your Leo or PR Idun?
Leo: Yes. You can PM me in the game and I’ll set him up as ally for 1 hour
PR Idun: No. I don’t have her either.

Hi kittyeyaya, first and foremost welcome to the guild! Glad to have you as one of us. Do an introduction in the "introdaction" thread (Kalvis' spelling lol) and join in the fun with us in the guild chat yah.
The neatness of this forum its due to the work of Kenna-Kat, he's been doing alot for us lately.
Just a question tho, how long did this team set up get to complete way to faith? I'm interested to try this set up but I have to PR my verdandi, and her cd is not great.

Re: [Deck Building + Strategy] Way to Faith
About 2.5 hours in total, but I was doing a lot of other stuff in between, like doing housework, watching TV, chatting with friends on the phone, etc. My guess of the actual play time, as mentioned in my original post, is about 60-90 minutes.

Thanks Kit... Will try your setup

Re: [Deck Building + Strategy] Way to Faith
thanks for sharing, Kitt.
Will definitely be trying it out.
edit: tried it out last night. took baphomet instead of scorpio, cleared it without much trouble while watching tv. very smart set up, thanks for sharing.

Re: [Deck Building + Strategy] Way to Faith
Thanks Kitty, completed using a variant (don't have Leo, subbed with Wukong). Keeping track of time seemed... immaterial after the first hour

Re: [Deck Building + Strategy] Way to Faith
I tried this setup (variant) but died on the stage with the big golem and two smaller golems on either side.
They just hit too hard when all their CD's are 1.
I don't have PR Verandi so I think Im missing out on some heals there lol.

not about the heals on 12, Ear. Those golems have 18 hp each and high defense. Verdandi (even non-pred) will break through their defense in a single turn with her active.
I think you'd only start running into trouble on 18 if you don't have the healing from the PRed version of Verdandi.

Re: [Deck Building + Strategy] Way to Faith
The variant I used takes longer, but the key cards are definitely there. Leo + PR Idun leader / ally and PR verdandi. My setup included Urd so I had damage control and the +30% fate sister bonus, and PQoW for a second line of defense. It's even more grindy, but it's a long way to a free harpy. You could get away with just PR Urd to heal up. I had no good dark cards other than ODin, and my leo was level 38 and unevolved

Re: [Deck Building + Strategy] Way to Faith
Either way looks like Pr verandi is mandatory for this setup.
Wont try again until Ive pred her.

Re: [Deck Building + Strategy] Way to Faith
PR Verdandi is only necessary for an easy Stage 12. The other advantage is a HP boost from leeching, but it's also possible to beat this challenge using fixed damage defense piercers. My team had a PQoW, Urd, and GSoD because I went ultra defensive. In the end, the GSoD collected dust, and my Odin plus Leo was the heavy hitter, since even PR Verdandi stacked three times does pitiful damage. I would recommend CC plus two heart converters or damage reducers and a defense bypass for wave 12. Leo + Odin + PQoW + Valkyrie + PR Urd + PR Idun could beat this stage as well. You would have to rely on Urd and PR Idun's active a bit more, but it could work too.

Re: [Deck Building + Strategy] Way to Faith
Hi Ear, do you have Lubu?
You can probably try the following team.
Leader: Leo
Lubu, PKoD, Best Heart convertor (preferably max skilled Gemini), Verdandi (high level, skill level not that important)
Helper: PR Idun
With Stage 18, Don’t use Lubu straight away. Kill one of the Iduns as quickly as possible, then manually target the middle one. You can’t hurt her normally, so you’ll have to rely on Lubu’s skill and you need to use it right after both Iduns having attacked. But with only two Iduns left, you’ll be able to recover enough health every turn. This stage is long, even with PR Verdandi, so don’t fall asleep. =)
Stage 19 and 20 are similar, only need to be careful when using Lubu’s skill.

Re: [Deck Building + Strategy] Way to Faith
Was trying WTF (way to faith) with an all out offensive team in my Loki, Gemini, Alma, Endor, Odin (Loki) and found myself to survive up till Minamoto himself.
Minamoto, on the other hand, was a nightmare. The Tri-colour shield-ex was enough to make my fingers jelly even tho I have all actives on and to make matters worse, his attack (11K cd1) was enough to kill me in 3 shots.
I'm gonna try this set up again, maybe till end of this week, hopefully I can get some grace from heaven drops to finish this guy off.

A dual PKOL team works as well! I cleared this stage with that team for 2 hours. It's not that hard, just need to focus
