Re: Recruitment Thread
Do we have a waiting list of potential members? If so, how does one get on it?

Re: Recruitment Thread
hi Fret, (or anyone else for that matter)
If you have a particular person(s) in mind, you can always let me know and I will reserve a spot for him/her on the next intake if they meet our requirements and our philosophy suits their personality. Providing that there are places are available of course.
Otherwise for non referring applicants, its just TOS forums - Knights of Avalon recruitment thread.
it use to be on a first come first serve basis but this is likely to change soon as Fattony888 may come up with a better screening process.

Re: Recruitment Thread
I also propose that we review our recruitment process (esp lvl 8 is coming up for us soon) from being first come first served, to a more careful selection process.
Maybe say take our time to have a PM exchange with the candidate to eventually decide if they will fit into our guild?
Being a chatterbox is a must!

Re: Recruitment Thread
I don't think being a chatterbox is a must... but it would be very much appreciated by us regular chatters if there was another one to join in our conversations.

Re: Recruitment Thread
It was one of my objectives to find more chatty players but last recruitment drive was somewhat of a dissapointment where chatters are concerned.
I would like to see more chat traffic too.

Re: Recruitment Thread
True. But somtimes when there are for instance 6 of us on chat and we talk in pairs there comes chaos
But yeah. it would be nice to meet new people

Re: Recruitment Thread
Yes i think a Private msg recruitment operation is better. Either they post on the thread and we will PM them or/and get them to PM us directly.
Some recruitment criteria that i think are important:
130+ with no1 under 120 allowed (unless he/she is a pro) - any comments on this? ear u were probably right to increased to 130 at the last recruitment, quality over quantity.
log in and USE YOUR STAMINA everyday - active player
"call to arms" during guild events - very important
contribute to game chat & easily communicable
Donate on weekends when possible
at least 1 SM card preferred
i assume most people who apply will be coming from old guilds, good lines of questioning are - why did you leave your guild?, What do u look for in a guild?, How will you be able to contribute to our guild? How long have you been playing for? etc
I think we should start a new thread somewhere. Best to keep this thread empty apart from guild charter & event statistics. KK/ear can you help?

Re: Recruitment Thread
I don't meet two of the requirements that Tony listed when I first joined the guild...
I feel like a failure of a Knight... (╯°□°) ╯︵ ┻━┻
Must train hard for the next SM!

Re: Recruitment Thread
I think SM card is not necessary.. As long as they're active and easily communicable, yeah also good to set a minimum level.
To establish a conversation (via PM or something) with them prior to recruitment, preferably one to two days plus discussion with the core guys would be good too I think.

Re: Recruitment Thread
Perhaps you should first contact them through PM on the ToS forums or something, then you could perhaps private message them through the game...
But you would have to be friends to do that... so maybe we should make a new thread for recruitment people only?
I'm not sure...

Re: Recruitment Thread
I think some of the criteria mentioned are too hard.
Activity, communication and playing for the guild are my musts.
Being a pro or high level? Could come with time I think.
Is it possible to have a public section on this forum? There recruits could introduce themselfes.

Re: Recruitment Thread
Aki. I dont think they would want to. IMO that should reply on oficial forum and then Private Message with someone resposible for recruitment. It will be harder for them to post on our guild forum. But thats only my opinion.
lets tell them to leave a phone number i will be calling them all in all I work in call centre i will be a HR specialist

*sweatdrop*
I don't think they would appreciate calls, Kalvis...
But probably the ToS forums would be better for recruitment.

This sounds great but how do we physically implement this?
I think maybe we should have a panel (i would like you on the panel Lj if at all possible..)
Who else wants to be involve in the panel/hiring process?
Re: Recruitment Thread
@Kalvis please, please for the love of god, dont sell me a piece of shit, I really dont want to buy it!!!!!
Re: Recruitment Thread
I shall go research how to put a panel on this site...
Unless Ear knows how to do it...
And Kalvis... God, What the F****** hell? That is the only comment I have... I already have enough commercials calls, thank you very much. ಠ_ಠ

I would love to be involved in any way. We can probably do it the vvv way, the panel will PM the candidates in a form of Q&A with some standard questions before we decide or something. The panel will be listed on the thread so the candidates kind of know who they are talking to. But first we all have to agree that we will only accept candidates if they have a user name on the forums.

Re: Recruitment Thread
Ohh and I also agree that friends of knights would probably make a more reliable addition (conversation between Casper, Broken and Tony this morning in guild chat) since they're people we know, maybe we can set those as priority?
