Guild Appointments! Please Read!

Post by Eardrum73 on Tue Mar 04, 2014 4:18 am

Hi All,

In the near Future, Im looking to appoint some Knights to have dedicated roles in the guild.  These roles are quite specific and are listed below.  If you are interested please reply on this thread, and a description of why you think you would be suitable for this role. Remember that you need to have the time to handle these responsibilities. If ever you decided that you no longer want to continue in your role for whatever reason, let me know and I will open the role to the guild.

KOA Forum Moderator
Title: High Castellan
Position vacant: 1 (we only have 60 members atm, so I think we only need one moderator for now)

Job Description: Organising the forum in a tidy manner. Ensuring that the proper threads go to the right categories. At time you may also be required to update the forum with relevant information (but this responsibility is shared with every other member)

Criteria: You need to be interested (passionate) in forum maintenance, otherwise there is not much point. You need to be a fairly organised person. You also need to have a fair bit of time on your hands as I suspect this could potentially be a time consuming role compared to most. You also need to be someone who is good at forum controls, unlike me - who totally suxs at forum controls.

Human Resources
Title: Grand Inquisitor
Position vacant: 1

Job Description: To keep track of members who did not make the minimum requirements for future guild events. Once identified, try to established contact with said member for an update as to what their situation is. If contact could NOT be established the next step would be to track their subsequent contributions to the guild. Both in terms of activity and gold donated. Continue to establish contact in the mean time. We only track members contributions only after if they have been identified as dormant but not before. Advised me of who is dormant, possible reasons and any relevant insights.
This role would likely be busy during event time. However I doubt it would be a very intensive role as most of us contribute in guild events. if we are unable to do so for whatever reason we generally have enough sense to notify each other. Smile

Criteria: Need to be available during and after the event to track underperforming members. Need to have a systematic way of tracking dormant members. Be able to establish contact with members.

Archivist
Title: Chief Librarian
Position Vacant: 1

Job Description: To chronicle our guild journey from event to event. The event name, the total score we got, quest point allocation (ie Elite 3, master 4 pts etc) and our top 5 champions for that event and posting the Wall of Shame members. Our top 100 position if we made it and know it.
In addition to this, keep an up to date list of our members on the charter page. Who has left on what date and who are our new recruits.
This is one of the less time consuming roles. I’ll kick it off first and maybe if someone is interested they can takeover later. Not a very time consuming task I don’t think.

There are other roles I want to encourage such as posting builds and team configurations on how to beat certain fights (especially the time limited ones – Blindee has been doing a great job), or even help out in recruitment on TOS forums (Im looking at you Fats) and so on. However I don’t think these roles need to be appointed. Everyone can chip in if they have an idea or the will and time to help out  Very Happy  

This is a message for Fattony888 (but feel free to read everyone lol)

Hi Fats,

This should be the template for chronological tracking for our guild journey 
Bear in mind that it needs to be in Chronological order, so the earliest event first and next and so on.
This can all be in one post- just keep scrolling down and replicate template for new guild events.

Event Name:
Duration:
Point Structure:
KoA total points:
Top 100 guild Ranking:

Top 5 knightly Champions: (in order)
1)
2)
3)
4)
5)

Wall of Shame:

*************************************

For Guild record keeping (this should be on a separate thread to guild event journey)

Total list of members. Maybe just cut and paste the list from charter if that makes it easier?

Followed by chronological record keeping.
Record kept for 3 things:

The date the guild levelled.
Date of new members joining.
Date of members leaving.

Both of these should be in the charter category (should not appear in general discussion)

Just buzz me if you have any questions.

Sure, Ear. I can take the High Castellan.

I'll try to keep updates up as fast as possible, but I would greatly appreciate help if I am not fast enough to keep with the updates.

Ok Thanks Kenna Kat,

But only if you want to, ok? no pressure at all.

If you are happy to go ahead....
I need to make you a moderator.... (I'll have to figure out how.. yes I'm that bad at these forum control things!)

Don't worry, I don't mind doing it.

I check the Forums enough, and I try to keep with updates too. (Facebook... Hm...)

And take your time, I'll be lurking around.

Yeah, now I know  Very Happy but let me explain my name to you: potato is called "Kartoffel" in german and if you cut out the "ar" there will be "K toffel" which sounds exactly the same. So more or less just a play on words  Cool

But thank you ear, it seems to be more interesting to be a well known knight in camelot instead of being a stupid potato!  king

I have suggestions but I couldn't find a suggestion section, so I guess this will be the correct (or more appropriate) section? Ok here goes!

1) I really enjoyed reading through our past event and journey records. However, I find it a little hard to access them as they are mixed up together with discussion threads in the general discussion session (Will be even harder when more threads are posted in the future). For ease of archiving and accessing, Ear Kenna and Fat, what do you guys think on having a library section where all past guild events and journeys are kept?

2) This one is less of a concern lol. Do we need a suggestions section for any sort of matters (besides deck build and strategy)?

These are just my suggestions and personal opinions. If they are not going to help in any way, don't mind them. Just hope I can contribute something! Very Happy

I think its a good idea GranDz... I think we need to have the two thread in a dedicated area.
Im think they should be specifc threads under Charter and Members.

I still don't how to move threads otherwise I will move threads to Charter and Members area and delete the rogue post. lol
Maybe Kenna knows ? lol

hi RR,

Before you joined I put it to vote. Most people voted forums. With FB people have to log in with their real names some players don't want that.

Fatts....
In the case of posting in charter... why not start a separate tread for each Event journal and Guild Journal. Prolly more tidy that way? up to you really Smile
